Role Description
The Visiting Faculty – Emotional Intelligence will design and deliver engaging, research-informed sessions on emotional intelligence to management students in a full-time, on-site capacity at Athena School of Management in Mumbai. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing course outlines, lectures, and case studies; facilitating interactive classroom discussions; guiding learners through self-awareness, empathy, and relationship management exercises; and assessing student performance through assignments, projects, and presentations. The faculty member will collaborate with academic leadership to align emotional intelligence curriculum with broader management and leadership programs, integrate industry perspectives, and continuously refine teaching methods based on feedback and learning outcomes. Additional responsibilities may include mentoring students, participating in academic events, and contributing to workshops or seminars focused on leadership and personal development.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Emotional Intelligence, including self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, social skills, and relationship management.
- Proven experience teaching, training, or facilitating sessions in leadership development, behavioral skills, or organizational psychology.
- Ability to design curricula, develop learning materials, and use interactive teaching methods such as case studies, role plays, and group discussions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of learners.
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Education, or a related field; relevant certifications in Emotional Intelligence or coaching are an advantage.
- Experience working with corporate or academic institutions in India and familiarity with contemporary challenges in corporate leadership.
- Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education, openness to feedback, and ongoing professional development in pedagogy and emotional intelligence.
