Role Description: The Assistant Professor, teaching Food & Beverage Service will deliver lectures, practical sessions, and workshops in food and beverage service, operations, and related hospitality subjects. Responsibilities include developing and updating course materials, preparing lesson plans, and ensuring alignment with academic standards and industry practices. The role involves mentoring students, guiding projects and internships, assessing performance through exams and assignments, and providing constructive feedback. The Assistant Professor will participate in academic meetings, contribute to curriculum development, and support industry collaborations and guest sessions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring consistent presence on campus for teaching, student interaction, and departmental activities.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, restaurant operations, and hospitality management, with the ability to translate industry practices into academic content.
- Experience in classroom teaching, lesson planning, and student assessment in higher education or professional training settings.
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive, student-centered learning.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty and industry partners, contribute to curriculum development, and support academic events and workshops.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a Master’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field; industry experience in food and beverage operations is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to use basic educational technology and digital tools for teaching, content preparation, and student engagement.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple academic responsibilities in a full-time on-site role.
