Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Visa Counselor role located in Chandigarh. The Visa Counselor will guide clients through the entire visa process, including assessing eligibility, explaining documentation requirements, and supporting completion of application forms. Responsibilities include conducting consultations, maintaining accurate client records, preparing and reviewing visa files, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely submission of applications. The role involves staying updated on changing immigration rules, communicating with clients via in-person meetings, phone, and email, and providing clear, professional follow-up on application status. The Visa Counselor will also participate in occasional client seminars or information sessions and contribute to improving internal processes and client experience.
Qualifications
- Client counseling and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex visa procedures clearly and empathetically.
- Organizational and documentation skills to manage multiple visa files, verify documents, and maintain accurate records.
- Research and compliance abilities to stay updated on immigration regulations and apply guidelines correctly for different countries.
- Basic computer proficiency, including use of MS Office, email, and CRM or database systems for tracking client cases.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify issues in applications and suggest practical solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and follow structured processes in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
- Prior experience in visa counseling, overseas education consulting, or immigration services is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; education in business, law, or international studies is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi; knowledge of additional regional languages is beneficial.
