About Dr. Water
Dr. Water is a science-backed hydration company building products designed to help people perform at their best every day. From hydrogen water bottles to hydration solutions, we combine innovation, design, and research to create products that fit modern lifestyles.
Context & Opportunity
We're looking for a highly creative Video Editor who lives and breathes short-form content. You'll work directly with founders, content, and growth teams to create engaging videos across social media, product marketing, creator content, and ads.
This is not a traditional editing role. We want someone who understands internet culture, pacing, hooks, storytelling, and what makes people stop scrolling. You'll help shape how Dr. Water looks and feels across every video touchpoint.
What you'll do
- Edit high-volume short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Meta ads
- Create engaging product videos, UGC-style content, founder content, and brand storytelling videos
- Turn raw footage into polished, high-performing content with strong hooks, pacing, captions, and motion graphics
- Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form assets
- Collaborate closely with content, design, and growth teams to test new creative formats
- Stay on top of social media trends, editing styles, and platform best practices
- Develop new editing styles, formats, and creative concepts inspired by what's working on the internet
- Work with creator, UGC, and founder footage to produce content that feels native to each platform
- Contribute creative ideas on hooks, narratives, and content angles before editing begins
- Help define and evolve the visual language of the brand across social media, product content, and advertising
What we're looking for
- 2–5 years of video editing experience (D2C, consumer brands, creators, or agencies preferred)
- Strong portfolio showcasing short-form content and social-first editing
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar tools
- Excellent understanding of hooks, retention, storytelling, and viral content formats
- Strong motion graphics, text animation, and sound design skills
- Strong instincts for internet culture and what feels native to modern platforms
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and fast turnaround times
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
