Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Udupi. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage into compelling documentary episodes, including selecting shots, cutting sequences, and creating smooth, engaging narratives. Daily tasks include collaborating with directors and producers, organizing and managing footage, syncing audio, and applying color grading to maintain a consistent visual style. The role also involves integrating motion graphics and basic graphic elements, refining sound and pacing, and preparing final outputs for various platforms. The Video Editor will participate in creative discussions, provide input on story structure, and ensure all deliverables meet quality and deadline expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing, with experience working on documentaries or similar long-form content.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading, with the ability to maintain visual consistency and enhance storytelling through color.
- Experience with industry-standard editing software (DaVinci Resolve) and basic audio editing tools.
- Attention to detail, strong storytelling instincts, and the ability to work collaboratively with a creative team on-site.
- Good organizational skills for managing multiple projects, media files, and timelines, with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Prior experience in documentary or social-impact content is an advantage; a relevant degree or training in film, media, or related fields is beneficial.
