Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Freelance Video Editor role based in Uttarakhand, India. The Video Editor will capture and assemble video content that highlights the shelter’s work, animal stories, and campaigns, including shooting footage when needed and organizing raw materials. Daily tasks include editing video clips, adding transitions, sound, and basic effects, performing color correction, and preparing videos for various platforms. The role also involves collaborating with shelter staff to plan visual storytelling, creating motion graphics or simple titles, and ensuring that all content aligns with the organization’s mission and brand. The Video Editor is expected to manage project timelines, maintain organized file systems, and adapt content for social media and other digital channels.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing for creating compelling animal welfare stories.
- Ability to perform Video Color Grading to ensure consistent, high-quality visual output.
- Proficiency in Motion Graphics and Graphics to design engaging titles, lower thirds, and simple animations.
- Experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro) and basic audio editing.
- Good visual storytelling abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to work on-site in a fast-paced shelter environment.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Comfort working around animals and a genuine interest in animal welfare and rescue initiatives.
- Relevant coursework, certification, or prior experience in video editing, film, media, or a related field is preferred.
