Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled UAV Pilot (FPV) to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in flying FPV and multirotor drones in both indoor and outdoor environments. The role involves regular flight operations, drone testing, field deployments, and close collaboration with the R&D team for product validation and development.
Key Responsibilities:
● Perform regular UAV flight operations for testing, validation, demonstrations, and customer deployments.
● Fly FPV drones confidently in challenging and high-pressure environments while maintaining safety and precision.
● Conduct both indoor and outdoor drone flights in various operating conditions.
● Execute manual and autonomous flight missions.
● Perform pre-flight inspections, post-flight checks, and routine drone maintenance.
● Configure and set up flight controllers and firmware for different UAV platforms.
● Tune flight performance by adjusting PID parameters for stable and optimized flight.
● Analyze flight logs to identify issues, diagnose failures, and recommend corrective actions.
● Support R&D activities by testing new hardware, payloads, antennas, sensors, and firmware.
● Maintain flight records, testing reports, and documentation.
● Travel to customer sites, testing locations, and field deployments as required.
Required Skills:
● 1–2 years of experience as a UAV/Drone Pilot (preferred).
● Excellent FPV flying skills with confidence in high-speed, precision, and obstacle-rich environments.
● Experience operating drones in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
● Strong manual flying skills with the ability to recover safely from unexpected situations.
● Knowledge of UAV hardware, including motors, ESCs, GPS modules, telemetry systems, batteries, and radio controllers.
● Experience configuring and operating firmware such as:
○ ArduPilot
○ Betaflight
○ INAV
● Familiarity with mission planning software such as:
○ QGroundControl (QGC)
○ Mission Planner (preferred)
● Understanding of:
○ PID tuning
○ Flight controller calibration
○ Sensor calibration
○ Failsafe configuration
● Ability to read and analyze flight logs to troubleshoot and resolve flight-related issues.
● Basic troubleshooting skills for UAV hardware and software.
● Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
● DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate is highly preferred and will be an added advantage.
● Experience with R&D drone testing and validation.
● Experience with autonomous flight missions and waypoint planning.
● Familiarity with MAVLink-based systems.
● Experience integrating payloads such as cameras, antennas, GNSS modules, or other sensors.
Additional Requirements:
● Must be willing to travel frequently for drone operations, testing, and customer deployments.
● Should be comfortable relocating to different project locations based on operational requirements.
● Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather and terrain conditions.
