Senior Engineer – Electrical Testing (EWIS Aerospace) Job Description
Position Title : Senior Engineer – Electrical Testing (EWIS Aerospace)
Department : Quality Assurance
Location : SASMOS SEZ Facility
Reports To : Asst Manager Testing
Position Summary
The Senior Engineer – Electrical Testing is responsible for planning, executing,
validating, and documenting electrical tests on aerospace Electrical Wiring
Interconnection Systems (EWIS), including wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and
Electrical Panels and Electromechanical Assembly includes Components testing.
The role ensures compliance with customer, regulatory, and aerospace standards while
supporting production, qualification, certification, and continuous improvement
activities. EWIS encompasses aircraft wiring, connectors, splices, clamps, and
associated electrical interconnection components.
Writing Test programs for DITMCO testers and Nexia Cable test as per the customer wire
list and drawing.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Testing Programming and Validation which includes Continuity testing
Insulation Resistance (IR) testing Dielectric Withstand (Hi-Pot) testing ,Bonding and
grounding verification Circuit isolation testing Functional testing of harness assemblies
Develop and validate automated and manual test procedures.
Analyze test failures and conduct root cause investigations.
Support qualification and first article inspections (FAI).
Verify compliance with customer specifications and engineering drawings.
Compliance to IPC/WHMA-A-620
Compliance to AS9100 and AS9102 requirements
Support certification and customer audits.
Review test reports, conformity records, and acceptance documentation.
Test Equipment Management- DITMCO , Nexeya
• Develop test fixtures and adapter boards.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of test equipment.
• Test jigs preparation & validation
• Mating connectors Planning & NRE preparation
• Lead RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) activities.
• Support MRB and non-conformance investigations.
• Implement zero-defect and mistake-proofing initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce defects and rework.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Conduct technical reviews and training sessions.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, quality, and manufacturing teams.
Required Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in:
o Electrical Engineering
o Electronics & Communication Engineering
o Aerospace Engineering
o Avionics Engineering
Experience
• 5 to 8 years of aerospace electrical testing or EWIS experience.
• Minimum 3 years in wire harness testing and validation.
• Experience with aerospace manufacturing and quality systems.
