Job Introduction:
Provides strategic and operational leadership for multiple engineering teams. Oversees technical execution, cross-functional collaboration, and team development to ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions aligned with Tekion’s business objectives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Leads multiple engineering teams through the development lifecycle—from design through deployment—ensuring delivery of high-impact products and services.
- Collaborates with product, design, architecture, and operations leaders to define technical strategy and roadmaps.
- Oversees team structure, resource planning, hiring, and talent development across functional areas.
- Drives technical excellence by promoting engineering best practices, quality standards, and operational efficiency.
- Leads organizational transformation efforts related to scalability, automation, and platform modernization.
- Coaches engineering managers and senior engineers, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and career development support.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 4+ years in engineering leadership roles
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven success in managing multiple engineering teams and delivering large-scale software solutions
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms, distributed systems, and development operations
- Strong strategic thinking, project management, and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
