Arcons Infrastructures & Construction Pvt. Ltd. is hiring for the Plant & Machinery Department.
Position: Techno-Commercial Engineer – Plant & Machinery / HEMM
Location: Chhindwara / Nagpur — candidate may be based at either location
Industry: Road Construction / Infrastructure / Mining
Experience: 5–7 years preferred
Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or related engineering
We are looking for a techno-commercial professional to manage technical, procurement, vendor coordination, cost control, and MIS functions related to construction equipment and fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor utilization, productivity, availability, downtime, and operating costs of construction equipment
- Coordinate with project sites for equipment performance, maintenance updates, and machinery requirements
- Review preventive and breakdown maintenance reports and support corrective action planning
- Analyse recurring failures, equipment health, repair costs, and replacement/refurbishment requirements
- Obtain quotations, evaluate vendors, negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, warranty terms, and AMC terms
- Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders for equipment, spare parts, consumables, and services
- Monitor critical spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement to avoid machine downtime
- Coordinate with OEMs, authorized dealers, service providers, stores, procurement, finance, and site teams
- Prepare MIS on fleet utilization, breakdowns, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and equipment efficiency
- Support management with data-driven recommendations to improve productivity and reduce operating costs
Candidate Requirements:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in Plant & Machinery / HEMM / fleet management / equipment procurement
- Experience in road construction, infrastructure, mining, or construction equipment preferred
- Knowledge of motor graders, pavers, asphalt plants, batching plants, excavators, wheel loaders, rollers, crushers, DG sets, and related equipment
- Understanding of preventive maintenance, breakdown analysis, equipment lifecycle, fleet utilization, and cost control
- Knowledge of procurement, vendor evaluation, negotiation, AMC, warranty claims, and commercial documentation
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, dashboards, and MIS reporting
- Experience with ERP systems preferred
- Strong analytical, negotiation, coordination, and communication skills
Reporting To: Head – Plant & Machinery / General Manager – Plant & Machinery
Coordination With: Project Managers, Site Plant Engineers, Procurement, Finance & Accounts, Stores & Logistics, OEMs, Equipment Dealers, and Service Providers
