Job Description: AI Project Lead
Job Location: Nagpur (Work from Office)
Role Overview
SimpleWorks is seeking an experienced AI Projects Lead to manage the end-to-end delivery of
enterprise AI projects. The role requires excellent project management, client communication,
and stakeholder coordination skills along with a strong understanding of AI/ML technologies.
The AI Project Lead will work closely with the engineering teams, product teams, delivery
leadership, and customers to translate business requirements into well-planned, successfully
delivered AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
AI Project Delivery
Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of AI/ML projects.
Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and acceptance
criteria.
Track progress, identify risks and bottlenecks, and drive timely resolution.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.
Manage multiple AI projects and proof-of-concepts concurrently.
Client and Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary delivery point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
Lead requirement-gathering sessions, project reviews, workshops, and status meetings.
Translate business requirements into clear technical and functional workstreams.
Communicate project progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions clearly and
proactively.
Manage expectations, feedback, escalations, and stakeholder alignment throughout the
project lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate effectively across AI/ML, Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, CRM delivery,
and business teams.
Work closely with the AI Solutions Head on solution architecture, technical feasibility,
and resolution of technical roadblocks.
Ensure clear ownership, timely handoffs, and alignment between technical and business
teams.
Support integration of AI capabilities into SimpleCRM and other enterprise platforms.
Team and Resource Management
Plan work allocation and capacity across AI projects.
Monitor team productivity, task completion, and resource utilization.
Conduct regular project and team reviews.
Coach team members on delivery discipline, documentation, communication, and
customer orientation.
Support hiring, onboarding, and evaluation of AI/ML resources.
Quality, Governance, and Reporting
Establish appropriate governance, reporting, documentation, and review mechanisms for
AI projects.
Ensure adherence to SDLC, Agile, AI/ML development, security, and deployment
standards.
Track project KPIs, delivery quality, defects, risks, and technical debt.
Ensure project plans, technical documentation, decisions, and knowledge repositories
remain current.
Drive continuous improvement through reusable components, automation, and delivery
best practices.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine
Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
5–8 years of experience in software, AI/ML, or technology delivery, including at least
2–3 years managing AI-related projects.
Proven experience delivering enterprise AI, machine learning, Generative AI, or data
science projects.
Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG, AI agents, NLP, machine learning, model
deployment, APIs, databases, and MLOps.
Ability to engage credibly with AI engineers and solution architects without necessarily
being the primary hands-on developer.
Excellent client communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and leadership
skills.
Experience managing cross-functional and distributed technical teams.
Strong project planning, risk management, documentation, and reporting capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience delivering enterprise Generative AI, RAG, conversational AI, or intelligent
automation solutions.
Familiarity with Python, LangChain, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar AI
frameworks.
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with vector databases, AI orchestration, APIs, CI/CD, Docker, and
Kubernetes.
Experience with Agile/Scrum, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Git, and CRM-based project
reporting.
Experience supporting pre-sales, solution architecture, customer demonstrations, and
production AI deployments.
Experience delivering AI solutions within BFSI, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate combines sufficient AI/ML knowledge to lead technical discussions with the
communication and delivery discipline required to manage customers, teams, timelines, risks,
and cross-functional dependencies. This is primarily a project delivery and stakeholder
leadership role, supported by the AI Solutions Head and specialist AI engineers for deep
technical design and development.
