Role Description The Technical Sales Executive – Plastics will be responsible for developing and managing sales of specialty chemicals specifically additives to polymer compounders and processors. This full-time, on-site role is based in Vadodara and involves regular customer visits, technical discussions, and commercial negotiations. Daily activities include identifying new business opportunities, presenting product benefits, providing basic technical support, and coordinating trials with customers. The role also requires preparing proposals and quotations, tracking orders, maintaining accurate sales records, and working with internal teams in technical, logistics, and finance to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction. The Technical Sales Executive will monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to support pricing, product positioning, and long-term account development.
Qualifications
- Strong technical understanding of plastics, specialty chemicals, and additives, with the ability to explain product benefits and applications clearly.
- Proven sales and business development skills, including prospecting, relationship management, negotiation, and closing deals in an industrial or B2B environment.
- Ability to interpret basic technical data, support product trials, and coordinate with technical teams to address customer requirements and issues.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English and local languages, and comfort interacting with customers at multiple levels.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining CRM or sales reports, planning customer visits, and prioritizing opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Plastics Technology, or a related field; relevant sales experience in plastics or chemicals is preferred.
- Willingness to travel within the region for customer meetings and site visits, and to work collaboratively in a performance-driven environment.
