We are currently looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to step into a high-impact, dedicated role for one of our most prestigious clients—a global Danish major with a powerful footprint across Denmark, the US, and Spain.

Role Description :
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The specialist who is an engineer preferably in the Mechanical field will identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements aligned with organization's expectations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and supplier research, analyzing sourcing data, preparing cost comparisons, and supporting contract negotiation processes. The role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to manage Assessments, Supplier-development, Sample approvals, PPAP procedures, supply performance, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement in supplier development and supply management. The specialist will maintain accurate sourcing documentation, track key performance indicators, and contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives that enhance overall efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key responsibilities and competencies:
- RFQ management and quotation analysis
- Supplier scouting and supply market research
- Identification and prequalification of potential suppliers in India
- Support for supplier audits, qualification activities, and onboarding
- Spend, savings, and supply market analysis
- Supplier compliance and performance follow-up
- Preparation of sourcing cases, business cases, and decision material
- Support for category strategies and strategic sourcing projects
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working in an international sourcing organization!
