This position is open only for Residents of Indore city.
Job Purpose
- To effectively sell Solar rooftop systems to commercial and industrial customers, particularly SMEs in Madhya Pradesh.
- To work effectively with existing customers (for referrals) and channel partners to identify leads, organise site surveys, offer proposals, close the sale, collect documents for in-house credit (if credit sale), and collect the money.
Principal Accountabilities
- To sell rooftop solar systems to commercial and industrial customers, particularly targeting SMEs
- To inform customers of Orb’s in-house credit option, and use this facility to close sales more quickly
- To ensure monthly targets are met for leads generated (site surveys), orders booked, sales invoiced, and collections achieved
- To sell within the stipulated guidelines on money collection
- To work closely with Vice President Key Accounts and marketing to organise awareness-raising events with industry
- To actively pursue all leads and ensure they are met and the CRM is updated in a timely fashion
- To Conduct Initial Site Survey and subsequently organise detailed site surveys and develop proposals in coordination with the in-house technical and operations departments
- To personally conduct site visits to assess the technical feasibility of the product being offered
- To monitor that installations are proceeding on time, and to the customer’s satisfaction
- To ensure overall customer satisfaction with the working of the entire system
- To provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to the line manager as and when required
- To keep a track on competitor offerings
Experience / Qualifications Required
- > 5-7 years of B2B sales experience
- Ideally prior experience in selling Solar Rooftop PV Systems
- Knowledge about MP Solar Roof-top/Open Access State Policies
- A degree or diploma in electrical engineering
- A self-starter with fresh ideas, and lots of initiative
- A clear grasp of commercial issues, in addition to technical
- A team-player
- Able to travel at short notice.
