Role Description The Sr. Credit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Gopalganj, responsible for overseeing credit assessment and approval processes for a range of retail and SME products. This role involves evaluating credit proposals, analyzing financial and non-financial information, assessing creditworthiness, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines. The Sr. Credit Manager will review limits and structures, manage portfolio quality, and recommend risk mitigation measures where necessary. Day-to-day activities include working closely with sales and operations teams, monitoring delinquency trends, participating in audits, and contributing to continuous improvement of credit processes and risk frameworks. The role also includes mentoring junior credit staff and supporting management with reports and insights on credit performance.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Credit Management and Credit, with experience in assessing and approving retail and SME credit proposals.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Credit Risk Management, including portfolio monitoring, risk mitigation, and adherence to regulatory and internal risk frameworks.
- Advanced Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret financial statements, cash flows, and market data to make sound credit decisions.
- Solid foundation in Finance, including understanding of lending products, collateral, and credit evaluation methodologies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a similar credit management role within an NBFC or banking environment, preferably handling retail and SME portfolios.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales, operations, and risk teams.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment on-site in Gopalganj.
