Role Description The Speech Cum Special Educator will work full time on-site at THERAKids in
Greater Noida, providing integrated speech therapy and special education services to children with diverse developmental needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing speech, language, and communication skills, designing individualized education and therapy plans, and delivering one-on-one and small group sessions. The role involves collaborating closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, child-centered intervention. The educator will maintain detailed documentation of progress, communicate regularly with families, and provide guidance to caregivers on strategies to support development at home and school. Additional duties may include contributing to multidisciplinary case discussions, assisting in diagnostic assessments, and participating in center-based workshops or parent training programs.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of a wide range of developmental disabilities and learning challenges, including experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, and related conditions.
- Candidates should possess proven teaching skills, with experience planning and implementing individualized and group instructional activities in inclusive or special education settings.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in Special Education, including designing IEPs, using evidence-based instructional strategies, and adapting curricula for diverse learning needs.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication, active listening, and the ability to explain therapeutic and educational strategies to families and caregivers.
- Relevant academic background such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Special Education or a related field.
- Training or certification in speech therapy techniques and special education methodologies, with familiarity in working with middle school–age children as well as younger learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, demonstrate empathy and cultural sensitivity, and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality.
