Role Description The PGT English role is a full-time, on-site teaching position based at The SD Vidya School campus in Noida. The educator will design and deliver engaging English lessons for senior school classes in alignment with CBSE curriculum requirements, focusing on literature, language, and communication skills. Daily responsibilities include lesson planning, classroom teaching, assessing student work, providing academic support, and maintaining accurate records of student performance. The role also involves preparing students for board examinations, integrating innovative teaching methods, participating in school events, and collaborating with colleagues to support holistic development. The teacher is expected to contribute to co-curricular English activities such as debates, elocution, and literary clubs.
Qualifications
- Strong command of English language and literature, with the ability to teach CBSE senior secondary curriculum effectively.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment, with a focus on learner-centered pedagogy.
- Ability to foster reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication skills through interactive and creative instructional methods.
- Comfort with using educational technology and digital resources to enhance classroom teaching and student engagement.
- Master’s degree in English (preferred) or relevant discipline, with B.Ed or equivalent professional teaching qualification as per CBSE norms.
- Previous experience teaching English at senior school or PGT level in a CBSE or similar school environment is highly beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills, commitment to student well-being, and readiness to participate in school activities, parent interactions, and academic events.
