About the Company and Role
Sonnys Direct India Private Limited is seeking an experienced Software Project Manager to lead and collaborate with a team of software engineers in Pune, India, on the development of Quivio, a software platform used by customers of Sonnys Enterprises. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing software development activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, along with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the continued success and enhancement of Quivio.
This is a hybrid role based in Pune, India, and candidates must be currently located in Pune to be eligible for consideration
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for software development programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive program plans, considering scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation.
- Define program objectives, milestones, and success criteria.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align program goals with organizational objectives.
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, including software developers, QA engineers, designers, and other stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Proactively address issues that may impact program success.
- Implement contingency plans to ensure program continuity.
- Facilitate effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and executives.
- Provide regular updates on program status, highlighting achievements and addressing challenges.
- Ensure transparency and clarity in all communications.
- Work closely with resource managers to allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor and optimize resource utilization to meet program objectives.
- Collaborate with HR to address staffing needs and talent acquisition.
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
- Define and measure key performance indicators to assess program success.
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment between program goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Address and resolve stakeholder concerns in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of previous experience as a Software Project Manager or in similar role.
Required Skills
- Extreme attention to detail, organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong business acumen with a track record of success in gathering, analyzing, and organizing complex information from several sources to compose materials for distribution/presentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working on Project management software like Jira.
- Ability to work under pressure in an ever-changing fast-paced environment while maintaining poise and professionalism.
- Strong sense of urgency and efficiency in completing tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
