Role Description
This is a contract, remote role for a Software Programming Instructor (Content Creator) with expertise in Python and/or Generative AI.
The selected instructor will be responsible for creating high-quality recorded educational content for one or both of the following courses:
1. Complete Python Programming
A structured Python course designed to take learners from programming fundamentals to practical and advanced Python concepts, with hands-on coding and projects.
2. Generative AI
A practical, beginner-friendly course introducing learners to Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, AI tools, APIs, and the development of AI-powered applications.
The role involves creating video lectures, coding demonstrations, course notes, assignments, quizzes, and practical projects.
The focus is on creating content that is clear, structured, practical, and easy to understand, enabling learners to apply what they learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and record high-quality video lectures for Python and/or Generative AI.
- Develop structured, outcome-based course content aligned with the approved curriculum.
- Explain technical concepts in a simple, clear, and beginner-friendly manner.
- Create practical coding demonstrations and real-world examples.
- Develop course notes, coding exercises, assignments, quizzes, and projects.
- For the Python course, cover concepts progressively from fundamentals to advanced and practical Python development.
- For the Generative AI course, cover relevant concepts such as Generative AI fundamentals, LLMs, prompt engineering, AI APIs, embeddings, RAG, and AI-powered applications, as applicable to the approved curriculum.
- Create practical projects that help learners apply concepts rather than simply understand theory.
- Collaborate with the AddOnn content team to structure and refine course content.
- Ensure all recorded content is technically accurate, well-organized, and aligned with the approved syllabus.
- Stay updated with developments in Python, Generative AI, LLMs, AI tools, and related technologies.
QualificationsFor Python
- Strong proficiency in Python programming.
- Good understanding of programming fundamentals and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Ability to demonstrate practical Python development through coding examples and projects.
- Familiarity with Python libraries, tools, or frameworks relevant to the intended course curriculum.
- Ability to explain programming concepts clearly to beginners and intermediate learners.
For Generative AI
- Practical understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Familiarity with concepts such as:
- Prompt Engineering
- LLMs
- AI/LLM APIs
- Embeddings
- Vector Databases
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- AI-powered application development
- Ability to demonstrate practical Generative AI use cases and projects.
- Basic-to-good Python knowledge for demonstrating AI-related programming concepts is preferred.
General
- Experience in teaching, training, mentoring, software development, or technical content creation is preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital content creation tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Teaching, training, mentoring, or technical content-creation experience is a plus.
- Passion for technology and helping learners build practical skills.
Who Can Apply?
We are open to candidates who have strong expertise in either Python or Generative AI, as well as candidates who are comfortable working across both areas.
You do not necessarily need to be an expert in both domains. Course allocation will depend on the candidate's technical expertise, practical knowledge, and content-creation ability.
Compensation
The compensation for recorded content will range between ₹1200 to ₹2500 per video hour, depending on the candidate's experience, technical expertise, content quality, and overall delivery.
Additional remuneration may be applicable for comprehensive modules and live sessions.
