Role Description The Cyber Security Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Srinagar. The instructor will design and deliver cybersecurity courses, including lectures, hands-on labs, and assessments aligned with industry standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, explaining complex security concepts in accessible terms, guiding learners through practical exercises, and providing constructive feedback on assignments and projects. The role involves updating course content to reflect current threats, tools, and best practices, mentoring students on career pathways, and maintaining accurate records of learner performance. The instructor will collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum quality, support certification preparation, and uphold ILS’s commitment to high-impact, learner-centered education.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to teach core principles and best practices.
- Practical expertise in Network Security, including secure network design, monitoring, and incident response.
- Knowledge of Application Security, focusing on secure coding practices, vulnerability identification, and mitigation.
- Experience with Malware Analysis, including identifying, analyzing, and explaining malware behavior to learners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, OSCP) are an advantage.
- Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience, with strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to create clear instructional materials, structure practical labs, and adapt content for varied learner skill levels.
- Commitment to ethical practices, continual professional development, and staying current with emerging cyber threats and technologies.
