We are seeking an experienced and visionary Curriculum Head to lead the design, development, and implementation of our K-12 curriculum for Makerspace, STEAM, Innovation Labs, and Robotics programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in experiential and skill-based education, a strong grasp of NEP 2020 principles, and familiarity with Indian and international education board frameworks (CBSE, ICSE, IB, State Boards).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and continuously refine grade-appropriate curriculum for Makerspace, STEAM, Robotics, and Innovation Lab programs across K-12 levels
- Ensure curriculum alignment with NEP 2020 objectives — experiential learning, computational thinking, 21st-century skills, and competency-based education
- Map curriculum to CBSE, ICSE, IB, and relevant State Board guidelines to ensure compatibility with school academic calendars
- Develop lesson plans, activity modules, project-based learning frameworks, and hands-on lab kits/tools in coordination with product and content teams
- Create robust assessment and evaluation frameworks to measure learning outcomes in creativity, problem-solving, design thinking, and technical skills
- Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and facilitators to ensure smooth curriculum rollout and adoption
- Conduct training and capacity-building workshops for teachers/facilitators delivering the curriculum
- Research and integrate emerging trends in robotics, AI, IoT, coding, and maker education into the curriculum
- Liaise with vendors/partners for tools, kits, and technology required for lab setups
- Monitor program effectiveness through feedback, data, and continuous improvement cycles
- Ensure curriculum scalability across multiple school partnerships/franchises
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Education, Engineering, Instructional Design, or related field (B.Ed/M.Ed preferred)
- 12+ of experience in curriculum design/development, with a strong focus on STEAM, Robotics, Makerspace, or Innovation Labs for K-12
- Strong working knowledge of NEP 2020 and its application in curriculum design
- Familiarity with CBSE, ICSE, IB, and State Board academic structures and compliance requirements
- Prior experience working with schools, EdTech companies, or education consultancies
- Hands-on understanding of robotics kits, coding platforms, and maker tools (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Tinkercad, Scratch, etc.)
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to train and mentor educators and facilitators
- Passion for innovative, learner-centric, and experiential pedagogy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in scaling curriculum across multiple schools/regions
- Certification in STEAM/Robotics education or instructional design
- Exposure to global best practices in maker education (e.g., FIRST Robotics, MIT Media Lab approaches)
