Role Description The Senior Interior Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for leading interior design projects from initial client briefing to final handover. Day-to-day work includes meeting clients to understand requirements, developing design concepts, preparing mood boards and layouts, and creating detailed drawings and specifications. The role involves coordinating materials, finishes, and furnishings, working closely with vendors and contractors, and overseeing site execution to ensure design intent, quality, and timelines are met. The Senior Interior Designer will mentor junior designers, collaborate with the project management team, and contribute to presentations and proposals that reflect Gruhanza’s standards of luxury and precision.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in interior design concepts, space planning, and design development, with a portfolio showcasing residential and/or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D rendering software) and comfort working with technical drawings and details.
- Ability to select and coordinate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories that align with project budgets and aesthetic goals.
- Experience managing end-to-end project workflows, including vendor coordination, site supervision, quality checks, and timeline management.
- Strong client-facing skills, including requirement gathering, design presentations, negotiation, and relationship management.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to guide and mentor junior team members and work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and a focus on practical execution.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior experience in luxury or high-end interiors in Bengaluru or similar markets is an advantage.
