Role Description The Senior Executive Purchase is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including identifying suppliers, requesting quotations, negotiating prices and terms, and finalizing purchase orders for feed, raw materials, packaging, and related supplies. On a daily basis, the Senior Executive Purchase will track inventory levels, coordinate with warehousing and production teams, and ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards. The role involves maintaining vendor relationships, evaluating supplier performance, and updating purchasing records and reports for management review. The Senior Executive Purchase will also collaborate with finance and operations to align purchasing plans with budgets and production schedules, and ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong purchasing and procurement skills, including vendor identification, quotation management, and purchase order processing.
- Experience with purchase of Grains ( Maize , Soya Etc )
- Proficiency in negotiation, contract management, and cost optimization while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and use spreadsheets or ERP systems for purchase tracking.
- Effective communication and coordination skills for working with suppliers, production, warehousing, and finance teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field; relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a purchasing or supply chain role, preferably at a senior or executive level in agribusiness, feed, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced on-site environment in Pune.
