About the Role
Vidya Setu Institute is seeking an Academic Counsellor to support prospective PhD scholars throughout programme selection, admissions, documentation, and enrolment.
Key Responsibilities
• Counsel prospective candidates by phone, email, and online meeting.
• Explain PhD coursework, eligibility criteria, fees, timelines, and admission requirements clearly and accurately.
• Understand candidates’ academic backgrounds and research goals.
• Follow up with prospective candidates and track application progress.
• Maintain accurate records of enquiries and admissions.
• Coordinate with the academic and admissions teams.
• Support enrolment targets through ethical, transparent, and informative counselling.
Requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of higher education or research programmes.
• Excellent follow-up and organisational skills.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, email, and online communication tools.
• A graduate or postgraduate qualification is preferred.
