Role Description The Senior Admissions Counsellor is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. In this role, the counsellor engages with prospective learners and families, conducts admissions consultations, and provides guidance on program suitability and application requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing inbound inquiries, following up with leads, conducting phone and in-person counselling sessions, and supporting applicants throughout the admissions process. The counsellor collaborates with academic and marketing teams to align messaging, participates in events and information sessions, and maintains accurate records in admissions systems. The role also involves meeting enrolment goals, contributing to process improvements, and representing Masters' Union professionally to external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Communication and Communication skills to effectively counsel prospective learners and collaborate with internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to deliver a responsive, empathetic, and solution-oriented admissions experience.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to convert qualified leads into enrollments and achieve admissions targets ethically and transparently.
- Candidates should possess Education-related knowledge or experience, ideally within higher education, professional training, or edtech environments.
- Relevant skills such as relationship-building, presentation, and public speaking, along with proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office or equivalent systems.
- Prior experience in admissions, counselling, or consultative sales, preferably in education or professional programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a postgraduate degree or specialization in business, education, or psychology is an added advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Gurugram, including occasional evenings or weekends during peak admissions cycles.
