Role Description The Salesperson role at GAT E-bikes is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The person in this role will welcome customers to the showroom, understand their commuting needs, demonstrate e-bike features, and guide them through product selection. Daily responsibilities include explaining pricing and financing options, preparing quotations, processing sales, and coordinating test rides. The Salesperson will maintain showroom displays, follow up with leads, support basic after-sales service inquiries, and contribute to meeting individual and team sales targets. The role also involves maintaining accurate customer records, sharing feedback with management, and participating in local promotional activities or events as needed.
Qualifications
- Sales and customer service skills, including the ability to engage customers, build trust, and close sales.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to explain product features clearly and handle questions in a professional manner.
- Basic product and technical understanding related to e-bikes, with the ability to learn and explain specifications and benefits.
- Organizational and record-keeping skills for managing leads, updating sales documentation, and following up consistently.
- Comfort working in a showroom or retail environment, with a proactive approach to assisting walk-in customers.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Chennai, including weekends or extended hours during peak periods if needed.
- Basic computer skills for using point-of-sale systems, email, and customer tracking tools.
- Prior experience in retail, automotive, or two-wheeler sales is an advantage but not mandatory.
