Role Description The Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for promoting and selling computer systems, peripherals, and related services to walk-in and existing customers. This role involves engaging with customers on the showroom floor, understanding their requirements, presenting suitable product and service options, and explaining features, pricing, and warranties. The Sales Specialist will prepare quotations, process orders, coordinate with the service team for installations or repairs, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction. Daily activities include maintaining product displays, updating basic product knowledge, handling customer inquiries in person and over the phone, and meeting assigned sales targets. The role may also include assisting with basic product demonstrations and supporting training for customers on purchased systems or services.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and basic written documentation.
- Customer Service abilities to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships.
- Sales and Sales Management skills to meet targets, manage leads, and support showroom sales activities.
- Training skills to guide customers on product features and basic usage when required.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals, with willingness to learn product specifics.
- Ability to work on-site full time, manage multiple customers, and stay organized in a busy retail environment.
- Prior experience in retail sales or technology products is an advantage.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or commerce qualifications are beneficial.
