Role Overview
This role is responsible for leading and executing sales strategy across the North region in India, with a focus on driving market penetration, customer engagement, and team development. This is a hands-on role ideal for a motivated sales professional with experience in medical devices, capital equipment, and team collaboration.
Job Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution (Regional Focus)
- Adapt and execute the north regional sales strategy to achieve or exceed annual targets.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including pipeline development, tenders, pricing, and contract negotiation.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across public and private hospitals within the region.
- Team Collaboration & Development
- Work closely with sales, service, and clinical teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Support the growth of team members through coaching, knowledge sharing, and performance feedback.
- Monitor individual and team performance against KPIs and contribute to a high-performance culture.
- Customer Engagement & KOL Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, procurement teams, hospital executives, and other key stakeholders.
- Support robotic program development and foster long-term customer partnerships within the region.
- Assist in engaging Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and advisory boards to drive clinical adoption and customer confidence.
- Operational Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Service, Clinical, Marketing, Regulatory, and Operations to ensure smooth installations, training, and post-sales support.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to refine regional sales approach.
- Provide regional insights to support broader commercial and product strategies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in medical devices, preferably in surgical robotics, capital equipment, or related fields.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (sales, clinical, service).
- Good understanding of the North India healthcare system and hospital procurement processes.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant industry experience will be highly regarded.
