Role Description The Restaurant Manager role at Chai4Public is a full-time, hybrid position based in Dehradun, with some flexibility for work-from-home tasks such as reporting, planning, and coordination. The Restaurant Manager oversees daily restaurant operations, including staff supervision, shift planning, and adherence to quality, hygiene, and safety standards. This role manages guest service on-site, resolves customer concerns, supports menu execution, and ensures the overall atmosphere aligns with the brand’s focus on premium tea experiences. The Restaurant Manager handles hiring support, basic inventory and vendor coordination, cash and billing oversight, and performance tracking through regular reports. The position also involves implementing promotional activities, training team members, and collaborating with management to improve processes and drive customer satisfaction and revenue.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to manage guest interactions, address concerns, and maintain a high-quality dining experience.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with staff, vendors, and management, and to handle guest feedback clearly and professionally.
- Candidates should possess Hiring and basic people management skills to help recruit, onboard, and support team members while fostering a positive work environment.
- Candidates should possess Food & Beverage knowledge to uphold product quality, hygiene standards, and consistency in preparation and presentation.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in restaurant or café management, familiarity with POS and basic reporting tools, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but relevant experience in the food and beverage industry will also be considered.
