Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Planning Engineer role based in Gandrajupalli industrial area which is 100KM from bangalore and 120km from Tirupati. The Production Planning Engineer will plan and schedule production activities for steel structures and pre-engineered building projects, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, materials by using nesting, and machinery. Responsibilities include preparing and updating production plans, coordinating with design, engineering, procurement, and shop floor teams, and monitoring progress against timelines and quality standards. The role also involves analyzing workflow and capacity, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times. The Production Planning Engineer will maintain documentation, support adherence to safety and compliance norms, and provide clear communication and reporting to project and management stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong production planning and general planning skills to develop, manage, and optimize production schedules.
- Preparation of accurate material requirements based on design MTO. (Material Tentative Order)
- Preparation of nesting plans for CNC cutting machine and raw material summaries to release shop drawings.
- Analytical skills to interpret data, evaluate capacity, identify issues, and implement process improvements.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear reports and updates.
- Industrial engineering knowledge to understand manufacturing processes, workflow optimization, and resource utilization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in steel fabrication, pre-engineered buildings, or similar manufacturing environments is an advantage.
