Job details:
Role SummaryThe Production MIS Coordinator is the link between the factory floor and our production system. You will track every job as it moves through each production stage, record updates in our MIS in real time, and make sure management always has an accurate view of what is running, what is pending and what is delayed. The role also covers purchase order entry, material tracking and dispatch coordination.
Key ResponsibilitiesShop-floor tracking and MIS updates
• Visit production sections through the day and collect stage-wise status for every active job: paper cutting, printing, lamination, UV, foiling, embossing, die-cutting, pasting and packing.
• Update job status, quantities, start and end times, and remarks in the MIS promptly and accurately.
• Keep job records complete from order entry to dispatch, with no gaps in stage history.
• Cross-check floor data against job cards and correct discrepancies the same day.
Purchase orders and job creation
• Enter customer purchase orders into the system and create jobs with correct specifications, quantities and delivery dates.
• Where one PO covers multiple items, create a separate job for each item.
Material and inventory tracking
• Record receipt and issue of paper, board and consumables.
• Maintain stock records and flag low stock or shortages that could hold up production.
Dispatch coordination
• Coordinate with the dispatch team on ready goods, packing status and delivery schedules.
• Update dispatch details in the system and confirm that completed jobs are closed correctly.
Reporting and follow-up
• Share a daily production report covering jobs completed, work in progress, pending jobs and delays.
• Escalate delays, machine breakdowns and material shortages to the reporting manager immediately.
• Follow up with section in-charges and operators to keep work moving against planned timelines.
Requirements• 2 to 4 years of experience as a Data Entry Operator, Computer Operator, MIS Executive or in a similar role.
• Experience in a printing, packaging or manufacturing unit is preferred but not mandatory.
• Educational qualification is flexible; strong relevant work experience is valued over formal degrees.
• Fast and accurate typing, and comfortable working on computers all day.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets.
• Comfortable using web-based ERP / MIS software; experience with any production or inventory system is a plus.
• Fluent in Hindi and able to read and enter data in English.
Skills and Attributes• Close attention to detail and a habit of double-checking entries.
• Comfortable moving between the office and the factory floor throughout the day.
• Clear, confident communication with machine operators, supervisors and management.
• Disciplined, punctual and able to manage multiple jobs at once.
• Ownership mindset: treats accurate data as their responsibility, not someone else's.
