About the Opportunity
AM Trailer, Kenya, a reputed manufacturer of heavy-duty trailers and concrete equipment, is looking for an experienced Production Manager / Fabrication Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in trailer manufacturing and production management.
This opportunity is specifically for professionals with direct experience in the production of trailers, transit mixers, cement bulker trailers, concrete mixer trucks, or similar heavy-duty trailer products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day production and fabrication activities for trailers and concrete equipment.
- Supervise fabrication, welding, fit-up, assembly, and production processes.
- Plan and monitor production schedules to achieve delivery targets.
- Manage production manpower, workflow, materials, and shop-floor activities.
- Ensure products meet required quality, dimensional, and production standards.
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, procurement, and other departments.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor fabrication workmanship and compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Lead and guide fabrication and production teams.
- Maintain production records and monitor overall production performance.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven experience in Trailer Production / Trailer Manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience manufacturing Transit Mixers, Cement Bulker Trailers, Concrete Mixer Trucks, Tippers, or similar heavy-duty trailers.
- Strong expertise in fabrication and production management.
- Practical knowledge of trailer fabrication, welding, fit-up, assembly, and shop-floor production.
- Trailer manufacturing experience is mandatory.
- Candidates with only general fabrication, welding, construction, or structural fabrication experience will not be considered.
Relevant Product Experience
Experience in manufacturing any of the following will be highly relevant:
- Trailers
- Tipper Trailers
- Transit Mixers
- Cement Bulker Trailers
- Concrete Mixer Trucks
- Heavy-duty fabricated vehicle bodies and equipment
