About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Procurement Executive to join our project team based in Bijapur, Karnataka. The candidate will be responsible for handling local procurement activities for project requirements, ensuring timely sourcing, vendor management, and material availability while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage local procurement of project-related materials, equipment, and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop local vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and finalize purchase orders.
- Coordinate with project/site teams to understand material requirements and delivery schedules.
- Track procurement status and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain procurement records, reports, and documentation.
- Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Support inventory control and material reconciliation activities at the project site.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline (Engineering background preferred).
- 2–3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or project-based environments.
- Hands-on experience in SAP (MM Module preferred).
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of local market sourcing and procurement processes.
- Ability to work independently at a project site location.
