With 399+ stores across 250+ cities, we bring quality, trend-right fashion to millions of customers through our 'Value & Variety' promise and growing portfolio of in-house brands. We are hiring Buyers to join our Men's, Ladies, and Kids Buying & Merchandising teams.
We are hiring for Buyer positions across three categories — candidates should apply for the division that matches their expertise:

- Buyer – Ladies Division – Ladies fashion categories
- Buyer – Kids Division – Infants, Toddlers, Boys & Girls
Role Overview
The Buyer is responsible for the selection, sourcing, and purchasing of product within a defined category, working under the direction of the Sub-Division Head/Manager. The Buyer manages vendor relationships, builds seasonal ranges, places purchase orders, and monitors category performance to ensure the right product is available in the right stores at the right time and price — delivering V2 Retail's 'Value & Variety' promise across 340+ stores. The Buyer works closely with the Sub-Division Head/Manager, PO Officer, T&A, and Category Planner to bring product from concept to store.
Key Responsibilities
Range Selection, Product Development & Sourcing
- Research and identify on-trend, commercially viable products for the assigned category, with a strong focus on value positioning.
- Conduct market visits, attend trade shows and vendor showrooms, and carry out trend research and competitor analysis to identify product opportunities.
- Build balanced range proposals with the right depth and width for each store cluster, aligned to the OTB and range strategy.
- Collaborate with vendors on product development, colour and print direction, fabric, and size specifications.
- Source new vendors and manage existing vendor relationships at a working level — sampling, costing, and fit approval.
- Prepare product selection files and present range proposals to the Sub-Division Head/Manager for approval.
Vendor Management & Negotiation
- Manage day-to-day vendor relationships; source and evaluate new suppliers in line with quality and cost requirements.
- Negotiate FOB/landed cost prices, lead times, MOQs, and payment terms to achieve category margin targets.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews covering delivery adherence, quality pass rates, and commercial compliance.
- Ensure all vendor agreements and trading terms are documented and up to date.
Purchase Order Management
- Raise purchase orders accurately in the ERP/planning system — correct styles, quantities, colour splits, costs, and delivery dates.
- Manage the order book end-to-end: order confirmations, pre-production samples, bulk approvals, and shipment ETDs.
- Coordinate with PO Officers to ensure timely, accurate order processing and documentation, and that orders stay within OTB.
- Resolve intake issues — delays, quality rejections, costing issues, and quantity discrepancies — in collaboration with Supply Chain, T&A, and QC.
Trading, In-Season Support & Market Intelligence
- Monitor weekly sales and stock performance for the assigned category; identify bestsellers and slow movers.
- Recommend repeat orders, line extensions, size ratio adjustments, replenishment, and markdown actions based on trading data.
- Participate in weekly and monthly trading reviews, providing product-level insights to the Sub-Division Head/Manager.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess product performance, visual display, and competitor activity, including pricing and promotions.
- Maintain buying records, option plans, and category data accuracy in planning tools.
