About Delphos Asset Management
Delphos Asset Management is an investment management and advisory firm focused on systematic investing, independent research, quantitative insights, disciplined portfolio construction and risk-conscious investing. Delphos was founded by Rachit Parasrampuria, a Computer Science and Economics graduate from Cornell University who previously led Portfolio Monetization within Citadel’s Equity Quantitative Research team, building systematic strategies and scalable investment pipelines for multibillion-dollar portfolios.
About the Role
We are looking to appoint a Principal Officer for our Portfolio Management Services (PMS) business in Mumbai. The Principal Officer will play a critical role in overseeing the PMS business, investment processes, regulatory compliance and operating framework as the business scales.
The candidate must strictly satisfy the eligibility requirements prescribed by SEBI under the SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 2020, as applicable.
Mandatory Eligibility:
Educational / Professional Qualification
· Professional qualification in Finance, Law, Accountancy or Business Management from a university or institution recognised by the Central Government, State Government, or a foreign university; OR
· CFA Charter from CFA Institute; OR
· Professional qualification through completion of the Post Graduate Program in Securities Market (Portfolio Management) from NISM of a duration of at least one year.
Relevant Experience
· Minimum 5 years of experience in related activities in the securities market, including experience with a Portfolio Manager, Stock Broker, Investment Adviser, Research Analyst, or as a Fund Manager; AND
· At least 2 years of relevant experience in Portfolio Management, Investment Advisory Services, or areas related to Fund Management.
NISM Certification
· Must hold the relevant NISM certification prescribed by SEBI for a Principal Officer of a Portfolio Manager (NISM Series XXI-B: Portfolio Managers Certification Examination), or be eligible and willing to obtain/maintain the certification as required prior to appointment.
Role & Responsibilities
· Oversee portfolio management and investment operations for the PMS business.
· Ensure compliance with SEBI PMS regulations, applicable circulars and other regulatory requirements.
· Supervise investment processes, risk management and portfolio construction.
· Lead regulatory reporting, disclosures and coordination with SEBI, custodians, auditors and other intermediaries.
· Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls, policies and operating procedures.
· Work closely with investment, operations and compliance teams to build a robust PMS operating framework.
· Support the ongoing monitoring, review and optimisation of portfolios in line with the firm’s investment philosophy and client objectives.
Who We’re Looking For
· Strong understanding of Indian capital markets and investment management.
· Deep familiarity with the regulatory framework governing Portfolio Management Services in India.
· Strong understanding of portfolio construction, investment processes and risk management.
· Experience working with regulators, custodians, auditors and other capital-markets intermediaries.
· High attention to detail, strong judgement and a rigorous approach to compliance and controls.
· Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with investment, operations and compliance teams.
