Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated
Primary Maths & Science Teacher to join our CBSE school. The candidate will be responsible for teaching
Mathematics and Science to students from Grades 1 to 5, creating an engaging learning environment, and supporting the overall academic and personal development of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate Maths and Science lessons for Grades 1 to 5.
- Follow the CBSE curriculum and school academic guidelines.
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, activities, projects, and assessments.
- Use innovative and interactive teaching methods to make concepts easy and interesting for young learners.
- Focus on building strong conceptual understanding and foundational skills in Mathematics and Science.
- Assess students' learning through classwork, assignments, tests, projects, and regular observations.
- Provide individual attention and appropriate support to students with different learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of students' academic progress.
- Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific thinking among students.
- Integrate appropriate digital tools, teaching aids, experiments, and hands-on activities into classroom teaching.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' progress and development.
- Participate in school events, meetings, training programmes, and other academic activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the overall development of the school.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
- Prior experience teaching Primary Maths and Science, preferably in a CBSE school, will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of primary-level Mathematics and Science concepts.
- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to make learning interactive, activity-based, and student-centric.
- Passionate about working with young learners.
- Good proficiency in English.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and technology-enabled classrooms is preferred.
