PRT Science
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Science to students at the Primary level (Classes 1–5) as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Science lessons using activity-based and experiential learning methods.
- Cover concepts related to EVS/Science, Living and Non-Living Things, Plants and Animals, Human Body, Food and Nutrition, Environment, Matter, Force, Energy, and Everyday Science as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Conduct practical activities, experiments, demonstrations, and hands-on learning experiences to develop scientific curiosity among students.
- Assess students’ learning through classwork, worksheets, activities, tests, and periodic assessments.
- Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support and reinforcement.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, worksheets, and other instructional materials.
- Encourage students to develop observation, questioning, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain students’ academic records and provide regular feedback on their progress.
- Participate in school events, co-curricular activities, PTMs, and other academic responsibilities as required.
Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science / relevant subject from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification.
- Prior experience teaching Science/EVS at the Primary level in a CBSE school is preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
- Good command of English and the ability to make Science concepts simple and engaging for young learners.
