Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Operations – Freight Forwarding role based in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The role involves coordinating and managing day-to-day freight forwarding activities for sea and air shipments.
* Place bookings with the carrier upon receiving confirmation from Pricing Desk and Customers.
* Export Documentation (SI Filing, VGM Filing, B/L Finalization, etc.) - INNTRA and ODEX
* Verify Commercial Invoice / Packing List / Checklist / Shipping Bill / DGD and various other documents.
* Coordinate with Shippers, Consignees, Shipping Lines, Overseas Agents, CHA, and Transporters for all operational activities.
* Ensure proactive follow-ups with all stakeholders.
* Verify and process invoices received from Shipping Lines, Agents, CHA, and other vendors.
* Payment follow-up with customers to release the BL.
* Maintain Operations Tracking Sheet
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Operations & Documentation.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and Shipping Terms.
- Ability to handle door to door shipments for Exports, Imports and Cross Trades.
- Knowledge of export procedures and documentation, with strong Export-related competencies.
- Proficiency in customer service within a logistics context, including Customer Service skills.
- Understanding of freight transportation processes and modes, with Freight Transportation expertise.
- Relevant experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain operations, preferably in sea and air freight.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, on-site environment and managing multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
