Role Description
The PMS Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai, responsible for managing and optimizing the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) within the company’s shipping ERP solutions. In this role, the individual analyzes maintenance data, configures PMS modules, and supports vessel and shore teams in scheduling and tracking equipment maintenance activities. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with operations and technical staff, monitoring compliance with maintenance plans, reviewing inspection reports, and ensuring timely updates to maintenance records.
Qualifications
- Experience working as an Expeditor, with strong expediting skills to ensure timely delivery of parts, services, and maintenance-related materials.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, tracking milestones, coordinating stakeholders, and managing maintenance-related projects.
- Background in Inspection activities, with the ability to interpret inspection findings and integrate them into maintenance plans and PMS records.
- Knowledge of Logistics Management in a shipping or industrial environment, including coordination of supplies, spares, and service providers.
- Familiarity with ERP or maintenance management systems, ideally in maritime or heavy industry, and comfort working with structured data and reports.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical documentation and maintenance manuals.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with technical, operations, and vendor teams on-site.
- Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, logistics, maritime studies, or a related field; prior experience in shipping or marine services is an advantage.
Requirements
- Few years of experience onboard along with 2-3 years of experience shore based into PMS data building (TME, 4th engineer, 3rd engineers)
- 3rd/ 4th engineer or equivalent with minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Shore experience in a shipping management company as a PMS coordinator/controller with an educational background in naval architecture and marine engineering.
- Experience and deep understanding of the enterprise computing needs of ship management companies
- Strong organizational skills covering project management and cost analysis
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Excellent typing and analysing skills
- Self-motivated, independent and meticulous with an eye for detail.
- Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
