Gladwin International is executing a retained search mandate for a Managing Director – Financial Products on behalf of a fast-growing, diversified Indian business group with established interests across engineering advisory, financial services, infrastructure and strategic consulting. As the organisation expands its Financial Products business, it is seeking a commercially driven and entrepreneurial leader to build and scale a nationally recognised platform offering advisory-led financial solutions and strategic partnerships across banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, corporates, investors and allied financial ecosystems. Reporting directly to the Group Chairman, the Managing Director will be responsible for defining business strategy, owning the P&L, driving revenue growth, expanding strategic alliances, strengthening client relationships, leading nationwide business development, and building a high-performing team while positioning the organisation as a trusted partner in the financial products and advisory landscape.
We are seeking an accomplished business leader to head our Financial Products business across India. Reporting directly to the Group Chairman, the Managing Director will be responsible for driving the strategic growth, profitability, market expansion, and overall leadership of the Financial Products vertical. This role offers complete ownership of the business with the mandate to build a market-leading franchise and deliver sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Financial Products business as an independent profit centre with complete P&L ownership.
- Develop and execute the annual business strategy to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
- Drive business development initiatives and expand the portfolio of financial products and advisory services across India.
- Build and strengthen strategic relationships with banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, corporates, investors, and ecosystem partners.
- Lead empanelment initiatives and establish new strategic partnerships nationwide.
- Identify new market opportunities, product offerings, and revenue streams to accelerate business growth.
- Ensure timely and high-quality execution of client engagements by working closely with delivery teams.
- Build long-term relationships with CXOs, promoters, business owners, and key decision-makers.
- Continuously monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive intelligence to shape business strategy.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing national team while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
- Enhance brand visibility and establish the organization as a trusted advisor in the financial products and advisory space.
Ideal Candidate
- 15–20+ years of leadership experience in financial products, advisory, consulting, banking, wealth management, or financial services.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling businesses with significant revenue and P&L responsibility.
- Strong network across banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, corporates, family offices, and investors.
- Proven expertise in business development, strategic partnerships, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage Boards, Chairpersons, CEOs, and CXOs.
- Experience in leading large, geographically distributed teams and driving high-performance cultures.
- MBA or equivalent management qualification preferred.
