Location: Remote | Market: International Expansion (Rest Australia first, then further Rest markets)
Rest
At Rest, we're redefining what comfort means through continuous innovation in form, material, and technology. We believe quality sleep is essential for overall well-being, and we're here to help people get the restful nights they deserve. Our mission is simple: Ensure Everyone Gets a Good Rest.
Joining our team means becoming part of a company that pushes boundaries and leads with purpose. You'll be part of a collaborative and dynamic environment that fosters creativity and challenges the status quo. If you're looking for a place where your ideas will have a direct impact on both customer experience and business growth, you've found it.
Our Core Values
- Be Kind - We create a supportive space for growth and innovation, where everyone's contributions matter.
- Be Agile - We thrive on change, embracing it as an opportunity to evolve.
- Be Open - Transparency and diversity of thought drive our best decisions.
- Be Disruptive - We challenge the ordinary, aiming for breakthroughs rather than just meeting expectations.
- Be Empathetic - We take the time to understand others' needs, building with their futures in mind.
- Be Responsible - We own our actions and their impact.
- Be Better Than Yesterday - We commit to continuous improvement in everything we do.
Why You'll Love It Here
At Rest, email and CRM are not an afterthought. They're how we turn first-time buyers into customers for life.
You'll work in a fast-moving, globally distributed team where campaigns and flows are built, tested and improved in real time. This role suits someone who wants full ownership of a channel and can see the direct impact of their work on revenue.
You'll work closely with a small, tight-knit team across marketing, creative and operations, with the freedom to shape how lifecycle marketing works at Rest, and to build a playbook that travels to each new market we enter.
About the Role
This is a Lifecycle Marketing Strategist role for Rest's international expansion markets. You own email, SMS and CRM end to end, starting with Rest Australia, and you carry what works into each new market as it comes online. You own Klaviyo in full: the flows, the segments, the campaign calendar, every scheduled send and the results.
You are accountable for owned-channel revenue, not just for sending emails. That means new-customer conversion, repeat purchase and win-back, with targets set together after your first-month audit.
You also run the automation layer behind the channel. Rest operates with a small human team and a pod of AI agents. You are the human owner of the email and CRM agents: you decide what they do, check what they produce, and build the tooling that makes the channel faster and cleaner. Every send is still reviewed by a person before it goes out.
Success in this role needs strong judgement, a love of data, and comfort working with shifting priorities. You'll need to be just as happy building a flow as you are explaining the results to the team.
What You'll Be Doing
Revenue and customer journey
- Own owned-channel revenue for your markets: email and SMS share of revenue, repeat purchase rate, flow revenue per recipient, and customer lifetime value
- Own the customer journey after the first order, including post-purchase, cross-sell, win-back, loyalty, reviews and referral programs that bring customers back
- Audit every flow regularly, find what is leaking, and fix it
- Report weekly and monthly on email revenue, revenue per send, conversion, list growth, repeat purchase rate and customer lifetime value, then turn results into clear next steps
- Build cohort and repeat-buyer reporting with the commercial controller, on one agreed definition
Klaviyo as our CRM
- Own Klaviyo end to end: setup, the Shopify integration, customer profiles and data, list health and deliverability
- Keep customer data clean, and the account documented so anyone can see what's live and why
- Build and maintain segments by lifecycle stage (new, repeat, VIP, lapsed), behaviour, product bought, order value and engagement
- Use segments, including quiz answers and our core customer segments, to send the right message to the right person, not the same email to everyone
- Build, run and improve our automated flows: welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, cross-sell, win-back and sunset
- Own sign-up forms, pop-ups and the quiz capture, and grow a healthy, engaged list
Calendar and campaigns
- Plan and run the email and SMS calendar, lined up with our promo and launch calendar
- Brief, write, build, QA and schedule every send
- Coordinate with design, product and marketing so campaigns go out on time and on brand
- Run A/B tests on subject lines, offers, content and timing
- Use Klaviyo segments to feed paid audiences (suppression, retargeting, lookalikes) in agreement with whoever runs paid media
Automation and AI
- Own and direct the email and CRM agents: set their briefs, review their output, and keep a log of what they changed
- Build and maintain tooling for flow audits, deliverability monitoring and weekly reporting, using least-privilege access to every system
- Document every automation so the team can run it without you
Markets and compliance
- Adapt flows, copy and calendar for each new market: language, seasons, holidays, offers and send windows
- Apply each market's rules on email, SMS, privacy and product claims, and route claims through our compliance check before anything goes out
- Keep one shared playbook so the second and third market launch faster than the first
- Other job duties related to the role as required
Who You Are
- 3+ years in email or lifecycle marketing, ideally at a DTC or ecommerce brand.
- A hands-on Klaviyo expert: you've built flows, segments and campaigns yourself, not just briefed them.
- Experience with Shopify and how it connects to Klaviyo, plus a strong grasp of CRM: customer data, lifecycle stages and retention. SMS experience is a plus.
- A strong writer of short, clear email copy and subject lines that get opened.
- Comfortable with numbers: you can read a report, spot what's off and explain it simply.
- Organised and detail-focused: you hit send dates and QA every link, code and segment before anything goes out.
- Comfortable building with code and APIs (for example Python) to automate work, and careful about access, data and quality when you do.
- Comfortable exploring and adopting new systems like Lark Base, with a scrappy, hands-on approach to getting things done.
- Embraces workflow automation and AI tools in daily work to maximise efficiency, scale impact, and free time for strategic initiatives.
- Comfortable working across time zones and markets, and curious about how customers in different places buy and sleep.
What We Offer
- A fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work has visible impact.
- A people-first culture built on trust, inclusion, and innovation.
- Work-from-anywhere flexibility - our fully remote workforce empowers you to create a workspace that suits your lifestyle.
- Continuous learning and career development opportunities.
- A team that values diversity, inclusion, and different perspectives.
- A supportive environment that encourages personal growth and well-being.
