The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Lead Sales Engineer to own business development and revenue growth within the assigned territory.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in capital medical equipment / healthcare imaging sales, particularly across CT, MRI, Cathlab, Ultrasound or related imaging technologies, with the ability to manage complex, consultative sales cycles.
This role will combine technical solution selling, territory ownership, key-account management, new business development and service-led revenue growth.
The candidate should be comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders including hospital promoters/management, radiologists, biomedical engineering teams, procurement, finance and clinical users.
Key Responsibilities1. Territory & Revenue Ownership
- Own the end-to-end sales and revenue responsibility for the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute territory business plans aligned with company growth objectives.
- Build a strong pipeline across hospitals, diagnostic centres, imaging centres and institutional healthcare customers.
- Achieve defined revenue, gross margin and business development targets.
- Track market potential, competitor activity, pricing trends and upcoming healthcare projects within the territory.
2. Healthcare Imaging & Capital Equipment Sales
- Drive sales of CT, MRI, Cathlab, Ultrasound and other healthcare technology solutions.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation → opportunity qualification → solution presentation → technical evaluation → commercial negotiation → order closure.
- Develop solution proposals based on customer clinical, technical and commercial requirements.
- Position refurbished and new equipment based on customer needs, budget and lifecycle economics.
- Work with technical/application teams to conduct product demonstrations, evaluations and technical discussions.
3. Solution & Lifecycle Selling
- Position Cyrix's service-led and lifecycle solutions as part of the overall customer proposition.
- Drive cross-selling of:
- AMC
- CMC
- Spares
- Accessories
- Consumables
- Upgrades
- Other lifecycle solutions
- Identify opportunities to convert equipment sales into long-term service and lifecycle relationships.
- Articulate the value proposition around uptime, reliability, total cost of ownership and lifecycle value.
4. New Business Development
- Identify and acquire new hospital and diagnostic centre accounts.
- Map key decision-makers and build relationships across target accounts.
- Identify upcoming hospital projects, imaging centre expansions, equipment replacement cycles and new installations.
- Build a healthy prospect and opportunity pipeline through direct sales, referrals, market intelligence and existing customer relationships.
5. Key Account Management
- Develop strategic relationships with:
- Hospital promoters / management
- Radiologists
- Biomedical / Clinical Engineering teams
- Procurement teams
- Finance teams
- Medical administrators
- Expand existing accounts through cross-selling and up-selling of equipment, services and consumables.
- Act as a trusted business partner to customers rather than operating purely as a transactional salesperson.
6. AMC / CMC & Service Contract Business
- Drive AMC and CMC renewals within the assigned territory.
- Identify service contract opportunities within existing and competitor-installed bases.
- Support commercial negotiations and renewal discussions.
- Work closely with the service team to identify opportunities for spares, upgrades and lifecycle solutions.
- Use the installed base as a strategic source for incremental revenue and account expansion.
7. Competitive & Market Intelligence
- Track competitor activities, OEM pricing, product launches and market movements.
- Maintain knowledge of major OEM platforms including GE HealthCare, Philips, Siemens Healthineers and other relevant healthcare technology brands.
- Develop market intelligence around refurbished equipment demand, pricing and customer preferences.
- Provide regular feedback to leadership on market opportunities and competitive dynamics.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Service, Applications, Operations, Finance, Procurement and Leadership teams to ensure successful opportunity conversion and execution.
- Coordinate technical assessments, quotations, commercial proposals, negotiations and order fulfilment.
- Ensure a seamless customer experience from initial engagement through installation and post-sales support.
Candidate ProfileExperience
- 4+ years of relevant experience in healthcare technology, medical equipment or capital equipment sales.
- Proven experience in selling CT, MRI, Cathlab, Ultrasound or similar medical imaging equipment.
- Experience managing large territories and complex B2B / institutional sales cycles.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and closing high-value deals.
- Experience in AMC / CMC / service contract sales will be strongly preferred.
- Exposure to refurbished medical equipment sales will be an added advantage.
Technical & Commercial Capability
The candidate should demonstrate:
- Good understanding of medical imaging technologies and equipment.
- Ability to understand customer technical requirements and translate them into commercial solutions.
- Strong understanding of hospital procurement processes, tenders and institutional sales.
- Experience in consultative / solution selling.
- Strong negotiation and commercial closure skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles.
- Understanding of OEM products such as GE HealthCare, Philips Healthcare, Siemens Healthineers, etc.

Education
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Medical Technology, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering or related discipline.
- MBA / PG qualification in Sales, Marketing or Business Management will be an advantage.
- Relevant medical equipment / imaging technology certifications or training will be an added advantage.

Travel & Location
- Based in the assigned territory.
- Extensive travel within the territory is expected as part of the role.
- Should be comfortable managing customer meetings across hospitals, diagnostic centres and healthcare institutions.
