Profile Overview –
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Lab Chemist/Technical Officer with a strong background in formulation development, troubleshooting, and technical service. The ideal candidate to have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in the coatings and printing inks industry, and will be responsible for both laboratory and field work. This role requires a techno-commercial approach and the ability to engage in business development activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive evaluation and testing of raw materials in finished products—assessing alternate raw materials using standardized processes and comparing them with competitors' materials.
2. Develop coatings and ink formulations at bench scale, including formulation re-engineering with in-depth raw material knowledge.
3. Provide technical service through detailed product briefings, effective troubleshooting, and tailored solutions for specific projects.
4. Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and related documentation to support product development and quality assurance.
5. Identify and source new raw materials and innovative principles to enhance product performance and collaboration opportunities.
6. Engage in both lab work and field visits to drive R&D and business development activities.
7. Apply a techno-commercial approach to ensure market growth and superior client satisfaction.
Educational Background to have:
Bachelor’s /Master's Degree (B.Sc. / B.Tech / B.E.) in Chemistry / Paint Technology / Polymer Science / Chemical Engineering / Diploma in Paint & Coatings Technology
Required Skills:
• Expertise in formulation development and re-engineering.
• Comprehensive knowledge of raw materials of paints, coatings, pigments, binders, and resins
• Proven experience in technical service and client support.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to balance both laboratory responsibilities and field business development tasks.
