About the RoleWe are looking for a proactive and curious Junior SEO Executive to join our team on-site at our Kankurgachi office. In addition to traditional SEO, you will play a key role in optimizing content for AI-driven discovery platforms (GEO) and voice/direct answer engines (AEO). You will execute search strategies, optimize content structure, track performance, and help build visibility across modern search engines and AI engines.
Key Responsibilities
Traditional On-Page & Off-Page SEO:
- Perform keyword research and competitive analysis using tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, or Semrush.
- Optimize meta tags, H1/H2 structures, image alt text, URL structures, and internal linking.
- Execute off-page SEO strategies, including high-quality backlink outreach and digital citations.
- Monitor organic performance using Google Search Console (GSC) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO):
- Structure content to ensure maximum visibility inside AI-driven search models and conversational tools (such as Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews).
- Optimize brand citations, entity authority, structured summaries, and data tables to improve AI retrieval.
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO):
- Create and structure Q&A content, FAQs, and featured snippet targets (position zero) to capture direct answers.
- Implement Schema markup basics (FAQPage, HowTo, Article, LocalBusiness) to help engines parse exact answers efficiently.
- Optimize content for voice search queries and conversational, natural-language phrases.
Requirements & Skills- Solid foundation in traditional SEO concepts (On-page, Off-page, Technical basics, Local SEO).
- Working knowledge or clear understanding of GEO and AEO principles and how modern AI search engines process information.
- Familiarity with Schema markup (JSON-LD) implementation and rich snippets.
- Hands-on training or experience with GA4, Google Search Console, and basic keyword research platforms.
- Basic familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, or Webflow) for content publishing.
- Strong written English skills for structuring FAQs, summaries, and meta data.
- Full-time on-site availability at our Kankurgachi, Kolkata office.
