Role Description The Junior Interior Designer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Guwahati. The person in this role will assist in developing interior concepts, space plans, and design layouts for residential, commercial, and institutional projects. Daily responsibilities include preparing construction drawings, supporting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selections, coordinating with senior designers, architects, and engineers, and assisting in site visits and measurements. The Junior Interior Designer will help create presentation materials, update design documentation, and collaborate with project teams to ensure design intent is maintained during execution. The role also involves basic client interaction, gathering design requirements, and supporting project management activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong grounding in interior design fundamentals, including Interior Design and Space Planning skills.
- Ability to work with Architecture concepts and coordinate design solutions with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Proficiency in preparing and interpreting Construction Drawings and related technical documentation.
- Knowledge of FF&E selection, specification, and coordination aligned with project budgets and design standards.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools).
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to follow established design processes.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and clients on-site.
