Role Description The Jr Interior Designer will support the design team in developing concepts, preparing drawings, and assisting with project documentation for residential and commercial interiors. Day-to-day responsibilities include helping create mood boards and material palettes, drafting floor plans and elevations, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, and preparing presentations for client meetings. The role also involves site visits in the Greater Indore Area, assisting with measurements, installation supervision, and quality checks to ensure design intent is maintained. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Indore Area, working closely with senior designers and project leads to deliver well-executed design solutions.
Qualifications
- Ability to support interior design projects through concept development, space planning, and preparation of 2D/3D drawings and layouts.
- Competence in basic design software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and familiarity with presentation tools such as PowerPoint or Canva.
- Understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and current interior design trends, with an eye for color, proportion, and detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with team members, clients, vendors, and contractors in a professional manner.
- Ability to conduct site measurements, prepare reports, and support on-site coordination during installation and fit-out phases.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; internship or prior project experience in interior design is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback constructively, and adapt to evolving project requirements in a fast-paced studio environment.
