Role Description The Junior Interior Designer will support senior designers and architects in developing design concepts, preparing drawings, and coordinating project details from initial briefing through execution. This full-time, on-site role in Agra involves assisting with space planning, creating mood boards, selecting materials and finishes, and helping prepare FF&E schedules. The designer will contribute to construction drawings, coordinate with vendors and contractors under guidance, and assist in site visits, measurements, and installation supervision. The role also includes maintaining project documentation, updating design presentations, and ensuring design standards and timelines are met.
Qualifications
- Ability to work with Space Planning and Interior Design concepts to create functional, aesthetically coherent layouts.
- Understanding of Architecture principles and their integration with interior solutions.
- Competence in preparing and interpreting Construction Drawings for interior and architectural projects.
- Knowledge of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and scheduling.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic MS Office tools.
- Strong visual presentation skills, including mood boards, material boards, and client-ready presentations.
- Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to follow design direction and project processes.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; internships or portfolio demonstrating design work are an advantage.
