Role Description The Junior Architect role at Z Carbon Studios is a full-time, on-site position based in Kanchipuram. The individual in this role supports senior architects with concept development, detailed architectural design, and preparation of drawings and documentation. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with design iterations, coordinating with project stakeholders, and contributing to the integration of architectural concepts with relevant software tools and workflows. The Junior Architect helps track project milestones, prepares presentations, and participates in site visits and reviews as needed. This position is designed for early-career professionals seeking hands-on experience in a collaborative studio environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate concepts into clear drawings and plans.
- Basic understanding of Software Development and Integration as they relate to design tools, BIM platforms, or workflow automation.
- Entry-level Project Management abilities, including task tracking, time management, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar), and good visualization and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent accredited program, with knowledge of building standards and local regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site studio setting.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies and methods, and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary design team.
