Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Service Engineer role based in Kanchipuram. The Service Engineer will perform day-to-day service activities for elevator traction machines, including installation support, maintenance, and repair of geared and gearless systems. The role involves diagnosing technical issues, conducting troubleshooting in the field, and providing timely technical support to customers and partners. The individual will document service activities, follow safety and quality standards, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure reliable equipment performance. Regular interaction with customers, reporting of service findings, and support for continuous improvement initiatives are key components of this position.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills for electromechanical systems.
- Experience in field service operations, including on-site inspections and customer support.
- Ability to perform maintenance & repair tasks on mechanical and electrical elevator components.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering (or related field).
- Hands-on experience with elevator machinery or industrial equipment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety standards and compliance practices in industrial service environments.
- Capacity to work independently at customer sites, manage time efficiently, and maintain accurate service records.
