The Head – Engineering & Utilities will be responsible for leading the complete Engineering and Utilities function at Dalmia Polypro’s Nashik manufacturing site.
The role will ensure the reliable, safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of critical plant utilities and engineering infrastructure while driving plant reliability, energy and water efficiency, infrastructure improvements, and engineering projects.
This is a high-ownership leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to lead internal teams and external partners in a complex manufacturing environment.
The role will work closely with the Site Head, Manufacturing, Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation, EHS, Projects, and external O&M partners to ensure uninterrupted plant operations and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the Engineering & Utilities function for the manufacturing site, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Oversee operations and maintenance of critical utility systems, including boilers, compressors, chillers, nitrogen systems, pumps, and piping networks.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with plant requirements, focusing on reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Manage plant infrastructure, identify gaps, and develop improvement plans to enhance utility systems and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with Electrical and Instrumentation & Automation teams, as well as outsourced O&M partners, to ensure seamless operations.
- Drive water and utility efficiency initiatives, reducing consumption, losses, and operating costs, with a focus on responsible water management in a water-intensive environment.
- Lead engineering projects, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements to enhance plant reliability and operational performance.
- Lead and develop the Engineering & Utilities team, managing internal staff and external stakeholders, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Present utility performance, risks, and improvement plans to senior leadership, supporting strategic decision-making.
